Dify Management MCP

by LucasAllmaBI

Dify Management MCP

This MCP server allows you to manage your Dify instance programmatically. It exposes tools to list and create knowledge bases (datasets), list applications, and manage tools.

Features

  • Knowledge Management: List datasets, create new datasets, and list documents.

  • App Management: List applications in the workspace and get detailed information.

  • Tool Management: List tool providers.

Configuration

  1. Clone this repository.

  2. Install the dependencies: npm install.

  3. Create a .env file based on .env.example.

  4. Configure the variables:

    • DIFY_BASE_URL: URL of your instance (e.g., https://api.dify.ai for the cloud).

    • DIFY_CONSOLE_API_KEY: Your Console API key (see below on how to obtain it).

How to obtain the DIFY_CONSOLE_API_KEY

The Console key is required for management operations (such as creating datasets). Currently, in Dify Cloud, you can find your key in Settings > Workspace > Service API or by using the browser session token (less recommended). For self-hosted instances, use the token generated for the admin.

Running Locally

npm run build
npm start

Deploy on Dokploy

This project includes a Dockerfile. To run on Dokploy:

  1. Connect your GitHub repository to Dokploy.

  2. Configure the environment variables (DIFY_BASE_URL, DIFY_CONSOLE_API_KEY) in the Dokploy panel.

  3. Dokploy will detect the Dockerfile and build it automatically.
