Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| SAP_MCP_SYSTEM_ROLE | Yes | System role; QAS, PRD, missing, and unknown system roles stay local/read-only regardless of profile. Required. | |
| SAP_MCP_TOOL_PROFILE | Yes | Tool profile, e.g. focused/developer, business, operations, or expert. Required. | |
| SAP_MCP_BASIS_RELEASE | No | BASIS release; only set if the capability probe fails (e.g. older S/4HANA releases 7.50/7.51). | |
| SAP_MCP_MAX_CONCURRENT_TOOLS | No | Maximum concurrent tools; keep at 1 unless a separately verified deployment requires another value. |
