Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| HAPI_ACCESS_TOKEN_FILE | Yes | Path to a file containing the HAPI access token. The file should have 0600 permissions. | |
| HAPI_COPILOT_STATE_DIR | Yes | Path to a private state directory for HAPI Copilot. The directory should have 0700 permissions. | |
| HAPI_OPERATOR_POLICY_FILE | No | Optional path to an operator-owned configuration file that enables personal owner control. If omitted, the conservative observer configuration is used. |
