| OPENAI_API_KEY | No | OpenAI API key, used instead of Anthropic when AI_PROVIDER=openai. | |
| ANTHROPIC_API_KEY | No | Anthropic API key for AI-powered decomposition (recommended). Without an API key, flompt uses a keyword-based heuristic decomposer. |
