AutoCAD MCP Pro

Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
ENABLE_3DNoEnables the 3D solid tools (solid_box/cylinder/extrude/revolve/boolean) on live AutoCAD. Unset by default, which is why a default install advertises 242 of the 247 registered tools over tools/list.false
TOOL_PACKSNoComma-separated list of tool packs to expose so a client does not pay for tracks it does not use. Recognised packs include core, settings, mech, arch, pid and plant; "all" keeps everything. Examples: TOOL_PACKS=core,mech, TOOL_PACKS=core,arch, TOOL_PACKS=core,pid, TOOL_PACKS=core,plant.all
TOOL_PROFILENoAdvertised tool surface profile. "full" (default) advertises the complete catalog; "lean" advertises a reduced set (65 tools).full
ALLOWED_PATHSNoRestricts the file system paths the server may access, e.g. C:\\Users\\you\\Documents\\AutoCAD
DISCOVERY_MODENoWhen set to "search", the full catalog is replaced by two discovery tools (search_tools etc.), reducing idle token cost dramatically. Set to "off" to advertise the tools directly.off
EZDXF_UNDO_DEPTHNoOpt-in undo history depth for the headless ezdxf engine. When unset, undo history is disabled.
AUTOCAD_MCP_BACKENDNoSelects the engine: "auto" (auto-selected), "ezdxf" for the portable DXF engine with no AutoCAD needed, or "com" for live AutoCAD (requires the [com] extra). Example: AUTOCAD_MCP_BACKEND=ezdxf autocad-mcpauto
