Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| LUNCHMONEY_API_TOKEN | Yes | Your LunchMoney API token from LunchMoney Developer Settings (https://my.lunchmoney.app/developers). Required to authenticate with the LunchMoney API. | |
| LUNCHMONEY_ATTACHMENTS_DIR | No | Optional. A directory to which the attach_file_to_transaction tool is restricted. Set this variable to a directory (e.g. a ~/Receipts folder) to additionally restrict uploads to files inside that directory — `..` and symlinks that point outside are rejected. Leave it unset and any path the server can read is allowed. Strongly recommended for remote deployments. |
