Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| PERLECTA_MCP_ROOTS | Yes | Absolute path(s) under which the server is allowed to read documents. Roots are given with --root (repeatable) or the PERLECTA_MCP_ROOTS environment variable, separated by ':'. Without a root the server refuses to start, and it refuses any root that contains the home directory. |
