## š Getting Started
### Prerequisites
- [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/) v24 or higher
- An MCP-compatible AI client (e.g., [Claude Desktop](https://www.anthropic.com/claude))
### Installation
Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/Enockkipkoech/project-planner-MCP.git
cd project-planner-ai-MCP
```
Install dependencies:
```bash
npm install
```
Build the project:
```bash
npm run build
```
### Configuration
Add the server to your MCP client configuration file (e.g., `claude_desktop_config.json`):

### Available Tools
| Tool | Description |

| `create-project` | Create a new project with a name and optional description |
| `list-projects` | List all existing projects |
| `get-project` | Retrieve a single project by ID |
| `delete-project` | Delete a project and all its associated todos |
| `create-todo` | Add a new todo to a project with title, priority, and status |
| `update-todo` | Update an existing todo's title, description, priority, or status |
| `delete-todo` | Delete a specific todo by ID |
| `get-todo-by-id` | Fetch todos for a project, optionally filtered by status |

**Create a project:**
