Server Configuration
Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| WHATSAPP_STATE_DIR | No | Directory where runtime state lives. Defaults to ~/.whatsapp-channel/, never the repo. | |
| WHATSAPP_DIAG_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 to record Baileys' full debug stream to the diagnostics log. | |
| TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER | No | Voice transcription provider (e.g. groq or openai). The older TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER, GROQ_API_KEY and OPENAI_API_KEY environment variables still work. |
