Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

| WHATSAPP_DIAG_DEBUG | No | Set to 1 to enable Baileys' full debug stream in the diagnostic log (~/.whatsapp-channel/diag.log). | |
| TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER | No | Voice transcription provider. The older TRANSCRIPTION_PROVIDER, GROQ_API_KEY and OPENAI_API_KEY environment variables still work (keys are normally kept in your OS keychain). |
