## πŸš€ Installation

### Option 1: Using `uv` (Recommended)
You don't even need to install it manually. Just use `uvx`:

```

### Option 2: Standard Python installation
1. **Clone the repository:**
   ```bash
   git clone https://github.com/Baptiste4321/mcp-markdown-to-docx.git
   cd mcp-markdown-to-docx
   ```

2. **Install the package:**
   Ensure you have Python 3.10 or higher installed.
   ```bash
   pip install .
   ```

## βš™οΈ Configuration (Claude Desktop)

To connect this tool to **Claude Desktop**, add the following configuration to your `claude_desktop_config.json` file.

- **Windows:** `%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json`
- **macOS:** `~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json`

> **Security Note:** To get an API Key, go to the web interface of your markdown-to-docx instance, open the Settings > "SΓ©curitΓ© & API", and click "Generate API Key". The key is only displayed once and stored securely via SHA-256 hash.

> **Note:** If you installed it manually via pip instead of uv, change the command to `mcp-markdown-to-docx` and remove the args.
