# 🎥 YouTube Transcript MCP Server

A simple Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that retrieves a YouTube video's title, duration, and transcript.

## Features

* Get YouTube video title
* Get video duration
* Automatically fetch the best available transcript
* Language preference:

  * Hindi (`hi`)
  * Marathi (`mr`)
  * English (`en`)
* Compatible with MCP clients such as Claude Desktop and VS Code

## Requirements

* Python 3.10+
* Internet connection

## Installation

Clone the repository:

```bash
git clone https://github.com/<your-username>/youtube-transcript-mcp.git
cd youtube-transcript-mcp
```

Install dependencies:

```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

Or install manually:

```bash
pip install mcp youtube-transcript-api yt-dlp
```
