Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
PARE_TOOLSNoUniversal tool filter applied across all Pare servers, formatted as `server:tool,...` (e.g. `git:status, npm:install`). Takes precedence over per-server variables. If unset, all tools are enabled by default. Setting it to an empty string disables all tools.
PARE_{SERVER}_TOOLSNoPer-server tool filter that restricts a single server's registered tools, formatted as a comma-separated list of tool names (e.g. `PARE_GIT_TOOLS=status,log,diff,show` or `PARE_NPM_TOOLS=install,test,run`). Server names use uppercase with hyphens replaced by underscores. If unset, all of that server's tools are enabled. Setting it to an empty string disables all tools for that server. Whitespace around commas is ignored.
