Server Configuration

Describes the environment variables required to run the server.

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
ENABLE_3DNoSet to `true` to enable the 3D solid tools (`solid_box`, `solid_cylinder`, `solid_extrude`, `solid_revolve`, `solid_boolean`) on live AutoCAD. Unset by default, in which case those tools are not advertised.
TOOL_PACKSNoComma-separated list of tool packs to advertise, so a client does not pay for tracks it does not use. Values include `all`, `core`, `settings`, `mech`, `arch`, `pid`, `plant`. For example `TOOL_PACKS=core,mech`.
TOOL_PROFILENoTool profile controlling the advertised tool surface. `full` is the default (242 tools advertised); `lean` advertises 65 tools.
ALLOWED_PATHSNoAllowed directory paths for file access, e.g. `C:\Users\you\Documents\AutoCAD`.
DISCOVERY_MODENoDiscovery mode. `off` (default) advertises the full tool list; `search` replaces it with two tools (`search_tools`) that rank over an AutoCAD command and synonym corpus.
EZDXF_UNDO_DEPTHNoUndo history depth for the ezdxf (headless) backend. Undo is opt-in on ezdxf; on COM it is always available.
AUTOCAD_MCP_BACKENDNoSelects the backend. `auto` (default) picks automatically, `ezdxf` uses the portable headless DXF engine (no AutoCAD needed), `com` drives a live AutoCAD (requires the [com] extra).
