SQL Injection in Browse API Endpoints
**Files Changed:**
- `server/src/api/routes/browse.ts`
**What Was Fixed:**
- Added `validateTableName()` function that validates table names against actual database tables
- Added `escapeIdentifier()` function for proper MySQL identifier escaping
- All table name inputs are now validated before use in SQL queries
- Table names must match regex `/^[a-zA-Z0-9_$]+$/` and exist in the database
**Impact:**
- Prevents attackers from injecting SQL via table name parameters
- Blocks access to unauthorized tables
- Prevents database enumeration attacks

Timing Attack in API Key Verification
**Files Changed:**
- `server/src/db/database-manager.ts`
**What Was Fixed:**
- Changed `verifyApiKey()` to use constant-time comparison
- Now fetches all active API keys and compares each using `constantTimeCompare()`
- Loop continues through all keys even after finding a match (maintains constant time)
**Impact:**
- Prevents timing-based API key brute-force attacks
- Makes it impossible to determine key validity by measuring response times
- Critical for preventing unauthorized access to the system

- Validate and sanitize all pagination parameters
- Enforce bounds checking before using in queries

- Prevents offset overflow attacks

Sensitive Data Exposure in Logs

**What Was Fixed:**
- Created `sanitizeForLogging()` utility function
- Automatically redacts sensitive fields: password, apiKey, token, key, secret, etc.
- Limits log entry size to 10,000 characters
- Limits array size to 100 items in logs
- Prevents deep recursion (max depth: 10)
**Impact:**
- Prevents exposure of passwords in connection creation logs
- Prevents exposure of API keys in logs
- Prevents exposure of sensitive query results
- Reduces log storage requirements

Weak Password Requirements

- Increased minimum password length from 4 to 12 characters
- Added complexity requirements:
- At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
- At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
- At least one number (0-9)
- At least one special character (non-alphanumeric)
- Applied to both password changes and new user creation
**Impact:**
- Significantly increases password security
- Makes brute-force attacks impractical
- Meets industry security standards
- Critical for preventing unauthorized login
