## Common Issues
### Issue: "No tools available"
**Cause:** MCP server not configured correctly
**Solution:** Reconfigure [Claude Desktop Integration](claude-desktop.md)
---
### Issue: "Connection refused"
**Cause:** n8n instance not running or unreachable
**Solution:**
1. Check n8n is running: `curl https://your-n8n-host.com`
2. Verify firewall settings
3. Test API manually
---
### Issue: "401 Unauthorized"
**Cause:** Invalid or expired API key
**Solution:**
1. Regenerate API key in n8n
2. Update configuration
3. Restart Claude Desktop
---
### Issue: "Slow responses"
**Cause:** Large workflow/execution datasets or network latency
**Solution:**
1. Use filters to limit results
2. Paginate large lists
3. Check network connection
4. Consider local n8n instance for development
