# Specification Quality Checklist: Web-App Graph Visualization and Production Hardening **Purpose**: Validate specification completeness and quality before proceeding to planning **Created**: 2025-11-20 **Feature**: [spec.md](../spec.md) ## Content Quality - [x] No implementation details (languages, frameworks, APIs) - [x] Focused on user value and business needs - [x] Written for non-technical stakeholders - [x] All mandatory sections completed ## Requirement Completeness - [x] No [NEEDS CLARIFICATION] markers remain - [x] Requirements are testable and unambiguous - [x] Success criteria are measurable - [x] Success criteria are technology-agnostic (no implementation details) - [x] All acceptance scenarios are defined - [x] Edge cases are identified - [x] Scope is clearly bounded - [x] Dependencies and assumptions identified ## Feature Readiness - [x] All functional requirements have clear acceptance criteria - [x] User scenarios cover primary flows - [x] Feature meets measurable outcomes defined in Success Criteria - [x] No implementation details leak into specification ## Validation Results **Status**: ✅ PASSED - All items complete ### Content Quality Analysis - **No implementation details**: Verified - no mention of specific libraries, frameworks, or APIs. Uses user-focused language like "interactive graph visualization" rather than "D3.js force-directed layout". - **User value focus**: All user stories explain WHY the feature matters to users, not just WHAT it does. - **Non-technical stakeholders**: Language is accessible - "relationships between memories" rather than "graph edges". - **Mandatory sections**: User Scenarios, Requirements, and Success Criteria all present and complete. ### Requirement Completeness Analysis - **No NEEDS CLARIFICATION**: Zero markers - all ambiguities resolved through informed assumptions documented in Assumptions section. - **Testable requirements**: Each FR uses MUST and specifies observable behavior (e.g., "display all relationships... including relationship type, direction, and strength"). - **Measurable success criteria**: All SC items include specific metrics (e.g., "within 2 seconds", "< 100ms", "95% of cases"). - **Technology-agnostic SC**: No framework mentions - uses user-facing metrics like "loads and becomes interactive within 3 seconds". ### Assumptions Made (documented in spec) 1. Force-directed layout for graph visualization (industry standard) 2. Bandit for security scanning (already in CI) 3. CycloneDX for SBOM (already generating) 4. Rate limiting on web-app API only 5. PyPI wheel format for reproducible builds 6. Data preservation priority for error recovery ## Notes - Spec is comprehensive with 6 user stories covering both feature enhancements (P1-P3) and production hardening (P4-P6) - User stories are properly prioritized: Core UX features before hardening - Each user story is independently testable as required - Ready for `/speckit.clarify` (optional) or `/speckit.plan`
