# MCP Server Integration - Implementation Summary
## Overview
Created an automated system to discover, clone, integrate, and rebrand top crypto MCP servers (ranked 20-40) for Universal Crypto MCP.

## Files Created
### 1. Server List
**`scripts/top-crypto-mcp-servers.json`**
- List of 20 crypto MCP servers (ranks 20-40)
- Includes name, repo, description, license, features
- Covers: Solana, DeFi, analytics, explorers, L1/L2 chains
### 2. Integration Script
**`scripts/integrate-mcp-servers.ts`**
- Automated integration pipeline
- Features:
- Clones repositories from GitHub
- Rebrands all files with your information
- Updates package.json with @nirholas scope
- Adds ATTRIBUTION.md to each server
- Restructures for monorepo
- Skips existing/non-existent repos
### 3. Target Directory
**`packages/integrations/external-mcp/`**
- Destination for integrated servers
- Includes comprehensive README
- Organized by server name
### 4. Package.json Update
Added script: `pnpm run integrate:mcp-servers`
## Integration Process
The script performs these steps for each MCP server:
### 1. Clone Repository

### 2. Rebrand Files
- **package.json**: Update name to `@nirholas/[server-name]`
- **README.md**: Add Universal Crypto MCP header
- **All files**: Replace author, GitHub URLs, emails, Twitter handles
- **Copyright notices**: Update to 2026 + nich
### 3. Add Attribution
Creates `ATTRIBUTION.md`:

### 4. Restructure
- Create standard directories: `src/`, `dist/`, `test/`, `docs/`

- Ensure consistent structure

## Notes
- Some repository URLs may not exist - the script will skip them
- All servers maintain their original licenses (MIT/Apache/BSD)
- Proper attribution is added to every server
- Servers work standalone or as part of Universal Crypto MCP
## Troubleshooting
### Repository Not Found
If a repo doesn't exist, the script will:
- Log a warning
- Skip to next server
- Continue processing
### Permission Denied
Ensure you have Git installed and configured:

### Already Exists
If a server already exists:
- Script skips it
- Shows warning
- Continues with others
