# Screen Content Validation System - Implementation Complete

**Status**: ✅ COMPLETE & TESTED
## Overview
Successfully implemented a two-layer screen content validation system for TW2002 trading bot that enables informed decision-making based on validated game state instead of blind input sends.
## What Was Built
### Layer 1: Infrastructure Validation (MCP-BBS)
**Files Modified:**
- `src/mcp_bbs/learning/extractor.py` - Added validation engine
- `src/mcp_bbs/learning/rules.py` - Extended Pydantic models
- `src/mcp_bbs/core/session.py` - Surfaced kv_data in snapshots
**Capabilities:**
- ✅ Type validation (int, float, string, bool)
- ✅ Range validation (min, max for numeric types)
- ✅ Required field checking
- ✅ Pattern matching validation for strings
- ✅ Allowed values enumeration
- ✅ Comma-formatted number handling (1,000,000 → 1000000)

### Layer 2: Bot I/O & Decision Logic
**Files Modified:**
- `src/twbot/io.py` - Updated wait_and_respond() to return kv_data
- `src/twbot/login.py` - Added validation checks during login
- `src/twbot/trading.py` - Added validation before trading actions
**Capabilities:**
- ✅ 4-tuple return from wait_and_respond() includes kv_data
- ✅ Validation helper functions check data before using
- ✅ Bots receive structured data about game state
- ✅ Pre-send validation warnings logged

- `prompt.port_menu`: Extract sector (1-1000), port_name
- `prompt.warp_sector`: Extract current_sector context
## Code Quality Improvements
### Type Hints Modernization
- Converted all `Optional[T]` → `T | None` (Python 3.11+ syntax)
- Removed explicit Optional imports
- Updated in:
- `src/twbot/io.py`
- `src/twbot/bot.py`
- `src/twbot/errors.py`
