# GitHub Publication Instructions
## Repository is Ready for GitHub! 🚀
The git repository has been initialized and committed locally. Follow these steps to publish to your GitHub:
## Step 1: Create GitHub Repository
1. Go to [GitHub](https://github.com) and sign in
2. Click the "+" icon in the top right, select "New repository"
3. Repository settings:
- **Repository name**: `canny-mcp-server`
- **Description**: `MCP server for Canny.io customer feedback management - built following CIQ CODE2 principles`
- **Visibility**: Public (recommended for MCP servers)
- **Initialize with**: Don't check anything (we already have files)
## Step 2: Push to GitHub
After creating the repository, run these commands:
```bash
cd /Users/briandawson/workspace/canny-mcp-server
git remote add origin https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME/canny-mcp-server.git
git push -u origin main
```
Replace `YOUR_USERNAME` with your actual GitHub username.
## Alternative: Use SSH (if configured)
```bash
cd /Users/briandawson/workspace/canny-mcp-server
git remote add origin git@github.com:YOUR_USERNAME/canny-mcp-server.git
git push -u origin main
```
