# Trace ID Functionality Test Plan
## 1. Test Objectives
To verify that the trace_id functionality in Zephyr MCP Agent works correctly, ensuring that each request contains a unique trace_id that remains consistent throughout the request processing flow, and is properly displayed in logs and responses.

## 3. Test Scenarios
### 3.1 trace_id Generation and Retrieval Tests
- **Scenario 1.1**: Client Provides X-Trace-ID Header
- Verify that the server correctly uses the client-provided trace_id
- Verify that the trace_id returned in the response matches the one in the request header
- **Scenario 1.2**: Client Does Not Provide X-Trace-ID Header
- Verify that the server automatically generates a valid UUID format trace_id
- Verify that the generated trace_id is 36 characters long (standard UUID format)
