# Progress: DeepWriter MCP Server
## What Works - Fully Migrated API
- **Complete API Migration**: Successfully updated to latest DeepWriter APIs
- Base URL migrated from `deepwriter.com` to `app.deepwriter.com`
- All deprecated endpoints removed and replaced with modern equivalents
- **Enhanced Tool Suite**:
- ✅ `generateWizardWork` - Comprehensive content generation with 13+ parameters
- ✅ `formatPrompt` - AI-powered prompt enhancement with project integration
- ✅ `uploadProjectFiles` - Multi-file upload supporting 20+ file types
- ✅ `listProjects`, `getProjectDetails`, `createProject`, `updateProject`, `deleteProject` - All CRUD operations maintained
- **Robust Infrastructure**:
- ✅ JSON-RPC 2.0 protocol support with proper initialization handshake
- ✅ Comprehensive TypeScript interfaces and Zod validation schemas

## Migration Testing Status

## Known Issues (Latest - MCP Detection Issue)
- **MCP Server Not Exposing Tools**: Server connects but shows "No tools available"
- **Root Cause**: Missing `FormData` import in `src/api/deepwriterClient.ts`
- **Technical Details**: Build process generated invalid JavaScript due to undefined FormData
- **Status**: FIXED - Removed node-fetch dependency, using native Node.js APIs
- **Path Issues**: Fixed inconsistent Windows/WSL path configurations in both local and global MCP settings
- **Build Context Issues**: WSL build commands failing from Windows CMD context
## Recently Resolved Issues
