## Metrics
- **Tasks Completed:** 17
- **Tasks In Progress:** 1
- **Tasks Pending:** 14
- **Blockers:** 0
- **Risks Identified:** 0
## Key Achievements
1. **TypeScript Foundation**: Established a solid TypeScript foundation with proper configuration, linting, and testing infrastructure.
2. **Core API Client**: Implemented a robust TypeScript-based Quickbase API client with:
- Authentication
- Request/response handling
- Error management
- Type-safe interfaces
3. **MCP Tools Framework**: Created an extensible framework for MCP tools:
- Base tool abstract class
- Tool registry system
- Parameter validation
- Consistent error handling
4. **Initial Tools**: Implemented the first critical MCP tools:
- `test_connection` for verifying Quickbase connectivity
- `configure_cache` for managing caching behavior
5. **Server Integration**: Enhanced the Express server with:
- Tool execution routes
- Batch operation support
- Schema discovery endpoint
- Status reporting
## Architecture Implementation
The implemented architecture follows our design specifications:
```
┌─────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ MCP Server (Express.js) │
└────────────────────┬───────────────────┘
│
┌────────────────────▼───────────────────┐
│ Tool Registry │
│ │
│ ┌─────────────┐ ┌─────────────┐ │
│ │ Base Tool │ │ Tool │ │
│ │ Class │ │ Instances │ │
│ └─────────────┘ └──────┬──────┘ │
└─────────────────────────────┬─┘ │
┌─────────────────────────────▼───────────┐
│ │ Request │ │ Error │ │
│ │ Handling │ │ Handling │ │
│ └─────────────┘ └─────────────┘ │
└─────────────────────────────────────────┘
```
## Next Steps
1. Complete retry logic implementation
2. Implement advanced MCP tools:
- App management tools
- Table operations
- Field management
- Record operations
3. Write unit tests for implemented components
4. Add more detailed documentation
## Notes & Observations
The TypeScript implementation provides excellent type safety and developer experience. The architecture is proving to be clean and extensible, making it easy to add new tools and functionality.
