# MCPBrowser End User License Agreement (EULA)
**Effective Date:** February 2026
**Version:** 1.0
By using MCPBrowser, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
---
## 1. What MCPBrowser Does
MCPBrowser is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables AI assistants to interact with web browsers on your behalf. It provides tools that allow AI agents to:
- Navigate to websites and fetch webpage content
- Click elements, fill forms, and type text
- Take screenshots of web pages
- Extract and process HTML content
## 2. User Responsibilities
### 2.1 Website Terms of Service
**You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of MCPBrowser complies with the terms of service of any websites you access.** MCPBrowser automates browser actions, and using automation may violate certain websites' terms of service. It is your responsibility to verify that automated access is permitted.
### 2.2 Lawful Use
You agree to use MCPBrowser only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
### 2.3 Authorized Access
You must only use MCPBrowser to access websites and services for which you have proper authorization.
## 3. Data and Privacy
### 3.1 Credential Handling
MCPBrowser does **not** store, transmit, or log your credentials. When you enter login information using MCPBrowser tools, credentials are typed directly into the browser's input fields—just as if you were typing them yourself. MCPBrowser acts as an intermediary that passes instructions to your browser.
### 3.2 Content Extraction
Screenshots and extracted HTML content may contain sensitive or private information. This content is provided to your AI assistant (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) and may be sent to the LLM provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub) for processing. **Ensure you trust both your AI agent and the LLM provider before accessing pages with sensitive data.**
### 3.3 Browser Session
MCPBrowser uses your existing browser session and cookies. This means:
- You remain logged into websites as you normally would
- MCPBrowser has access to the same content you can see in your browser
- No separate authentication system is maintained by MCPBrowser
## 4. No Warranty
This software is provided **"AS IS"**, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
## 5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MCPBrowser and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
## 6. License
MCPBrowser is released under the **MIT License**. See the [LICENSE](LICENSE) file for the complete license text.
## 7. Changes to This Agreement
We reserve the right to modify this EULA at any time. Changes will be reflected in the version number and effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of MCPBrowser after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
## 8. Acceptance
By using MCPBrowser tools, you acknowledge that:
1. You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement.
2. **You trust your AI agent (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) and the underlying LLM provider** to receive and process content extracted from web pages on your behalf.
3. You understand that MCPBrowser acts as an intermediary between your AI agent and your browser, and that any content accessed may be sent to external AI services.
