# ApplicationContext Loading Fix - All Tests
## Issue
Multiple integration tests were failing with:
```
IllegalStateException: ApplicationContext failure threshold (1) exceeded
```
**Root Cause**: Spring ApplicationContext failing to load due to optional services (Stripe, Apify, file storage) requiring configuration or external dependencies that aren't available in test environment.
## Solution
Added test properties to disable optional services in all `@SpringBootTest` tests that load the full application context.
## Tests Fixed
### 1. McpServerSseIntegrationTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/integration/mcp/McpServerSseIntegrationTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Added `properties` parameter to `@SpringBootTest`:
```java
properties = {
"jakarta.migration.stripe.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.apify.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.storage.file.enabled=false",
"spring.ai.mcp.server.transport=sse"
}
```
### 2. McpServerStreamableHttpIntegrationTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/integration/mcp/McpServerStreamableHttpIntegrationTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Added `properties` parameter to `@SpringBootTest`:
```java
properties = {
"jakarta.migration.stripe.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.apify.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.storage.file.enabled=false",
"spring.ai.mcp.server.transport=streamable-http"
}
```
### 3. McpSseControllerIntegrationTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/component/jakartamigration/mcp/McpSseControllerIntegrationTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Added `properties` parameter to `@SpringBootTest`:

properties = {
"jakarta.migration.stripe.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.apify.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.storage.file.enabled=false",
"spring.ai.mcp.server.transport=sse"
}
```
### 4. JakartaMigrationConfigTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/adrianmikula/jakartamigration/config/JakartaMigrationConfigTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Updated `@TestPropertySource` to disable Stripe (was enabled):

"jakarta.migration.storage.file.enabled=false"

```
### 5. YamlConfigurationTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/adrianmikula/jakartamigration/config/YamlConfigurationTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Added `properties` to main test class
- Added `properties` to all 5 nested test classes:
- `StdioProfileTest`
- `SseProfileTest`
- `PropertiesOverrideTest`
- `FeatureOverridesTest`
- `StripePriceIdMappingsTest`
- `ApifyActorIdTest`
- `StripeWebhookSecretTest`
### 6. AbstractComponentTest ✅
**File**: `src/test/java/adrianmikula/projectname/component/AbstractComponentTest.java`
**Changes**:
- Added properties to disable optional services:

// ... existing properties ...

"jakarta.migration.apify.enabled=false",
"jakarta.migration.storage.file.enabled=false"
}
```
## Test Configuration Files Created
### 1. application-mcp-sse.yml (Test)
**File**: `src/test/resources/application-mcp-sse.yml`
Provides test-specific defaults for `mcp-sse` profile:
- Disables Stripe, Apify, file storage
- Configures SSE transport
### 2. application-mcp-streamable-http.yml (Test)
**File**: `src/test/resources/application-mcp-streamable-http.yml`
Provides test-specific defaults for `mcp-streamable-http` profile:
- Disables Stripe, Apify, file storage
- Configures streamable-http transport
### 3. application-test-base.yml (Test)
**File**: `src/test/resources/application-test-base.yml`
Base configuration for all tests:
- Disables optional services
- Provides safe defaults
## Why This Fix Works
1. **Optional Services**: Stripe, Apify, and file storage are optional services that may require:
- External API keys
- Network connectivity
- File system permissions
- Additional dependencies
2. **Test Isolation**: By disabling these services in tests, we:
- Avoid external dependencies
- Speed up test execution
- Make tests more reliable
- Focus on testing core functionality
3. **Conditional Loading**: These services use `@ConditionalOnProperty`, so disabling them prevents bean creation failures.
## Verification
After these fixes, all tests should:
- ✅ Load ApplicationContext successfully
- ✅ Run without external dependencies
- ✅ Complete faster
- ✅ Be more reliable
