# HTTP Server Security Tests - Implementation Complete ✅
## What Was Created
**File:** `tests/http-server-security.test.ts` (411 lines, 16 test cases)
Comprehensive HTTP security test suite using Supertest for testing DNS rebinding protection and HTTP protocol compliance.
## Test Coverage (16 Tests - All Passing ✅)
### DNS Rebinding Protection (8 tests)
- ✅ Allows `localhost` (with port)
- ✅ Allows `127.0.0.1` (with port)
- ✅ Allows IPv6 `[::1]` (with brackets and port)
- ✅ Blocks arbitrary Host headers (e.g., `evil.attacker.com`)
- ✅ Blocks suspicious Host headers (e.g., `malicious.example.com`)
- ✅ Handles missing Host header gracefully
- ✅ Blocks spoofed localhost attempts (e.g., `localhost@evil.com`)
- ✅ Respects `ALLOWED_HOSTS` environment variable
### MCP Protocol Over HTTP (4 tests)
- ✅ POST /mcp handles `tools/list` requests
- ✅ POST /mcp handles `resources/list` requests
- ✅ POST /mcp returns error for unknown methods
- ✅ POST /mcp handles invalid JSON gracefully
### CORS Headers (2 tests)
- ✅ Includes required CORS headers in responses
- ✅ Handles OPTIONS preflight requests
### HTTP Methods (2 tests)
- ✅ Rejects GET requests to /mcp
- ✅ Allows POST requests to /mcp
## Key Fixes Applied
### IPv6 Address Handling
**Problem:** Original regex-based IPv6 stripping didn't work correctly with `[::1]:3002` format
**Fix:** Implemented proper IPv6 parsing:
