# Stata-MCP Web UI - Complete Implementation
## Overview
The Stata-MCP web UI for v1.6.0 has been successfully completed with comprehensive configuration management capabilities. This interface provides a modern, user-friendly way to configure Stata-MCP settings without any Stata integration (as per v1.6.0 scope).

## Usage
### Starting the Web UI

### Configuration Fields
#### Stata Configuration
- **Stata CLI Path**: Full path to Stata executable
- **Validation**: File existence, executable permissions, format checking
- **Examples**:
- macOS: `/Applications/Stata/StataMP.app/Contents/MacOS/stata-mp`
- Linux: `/usr/local/stata17/stata-mp`
- Windows: `C:\Program Files\Stata17\StataMP-64.exe`
#### Output Configuration
- **Output Base Path**: Directory for storing all Stata outputs
- **Validation**: Directory existence/writability, automatic creation
- **Default**: `~/Documents/stata-mcp-folder`
#### LLM Configuration
- **LLM Type**: Choose between Ollama (local) or OpenAI (cloud)
- **Options**: `"ollama"`, `"openai"`
##### Ollama Settings (when LLM_TYPE="ollama")
- **Model Name**: Name of the Ollama model to use

### Operations
#### Save Configuration
1. Navigate to /config
2. Enter valid paths for both fields
3. Click "Save Configuration"
4. Configuration is validated and saved with automatic backup
#### Import Configuration
1. Click "Import Configuration" in dropdown menu
2. Select a valid JSON configuration file
3. Configuration is validated and applied
#### Export Configuration
1. Click "Export Configuration" in dropdown menu
2. Configuration is downloaded as JSON file
#### Reset to Defaults
1. Click "Reset to Defaults" in dropdown menu
2. Confirm the action
3. Current configuration is backed up and reset to defaults
