# Validate Feature Parity Proposal
## Why
The GapAnalysis.md Section 3 (Feature Parity Matrix) identifies multiple features with "Unknown" status that may already be implemented through FastMCP's auto-generation from the OpenAPI spec. Without validation and documentation, users cannot leverage critical filtering, testnet, and currency capabilities that are already available in the API.
**Current State:**
- Filter parameters (chain_ids, trash, operation_types, positions, etc.) exist in OpenAPI spec but are undocumented
- X-Env testnet header exists in OpenAPI spec but is undocumented
- Currency parameter exists but usage is unclear
- Users assume these features are missing when they may already work
**Impact:**
- Users write inefficient queries fetching all chains when they need one
- Developers cannot test on testnets (forced to use mainnet during development)
- Spam tokens pollute responses when filters could remove them
- API quota is wasted on verbose, unfiltered responses
## What
Validate that existing OpenAPI spec parameters are correctly exposed by FastMCP and document their usage with concrete examples in the README.
**In Scope:**
- Validate filter parameters (chain_ids, trash, operation_types, positions, position_types, fungible_ids)
- Validate X-Env testnet header support
- Validate currency parameter support
- Document validated features in README with examples
- Create test suite to verify parameter functionality
**Out of Scope:**
- Adding new parameters not in OpenAPI spec
- Implementing custom filtering logic (rely on API)
- Modifying OpenAPI spec file
- Adding new API endpoints
## Success Criteria
- [ ] All filter parameters from OpenAPI spec are validated and working
- [ ] X-Env testnet header is validated and documented
- [ ] Currency parameter is validated with examples for usd, eth, eur, btc
- [ ] README includes comprehensive filtering guide with 10+ examples
- [ ] Test suite covers all validated parameters
- [ ] Feature Parity Matrix updated with ✅ for validated features
