# Document Operational Capabilities Proposal
## Why
GapAnalysis.md Section 4 (Operational & Architectural Gaps) identifies three operational capabilities that exist in the Zerion API but lack documentation and validation in the MCP server:
1. **Multi-Chain Aggregation** - Zerion fetches data across all supported chains in a single API call, but this behavior is not documented
2. **DeFi Protocol Coverage** - 8,000+ protocols tracked with detailed LP/lending data, but unknown if protocol metadata is surfaced
3. **NFT Metadata Completeness** - Token metadata, floor prices, and images exist, but completeness is unknown
**Current State:**
- Multi-chain queries work but users don't know this is a differentiator
- Protocol relationship data may be in responses but undocumented
- NFT metadata fields may be complete but not validated
- Users don't understand the breadth of data available
**Impact:**
- Users may make unnecessary multiple API calls (one per chain)
- DeFi protocol information not leveraged for analytics
- NFT metadata richness not utilized
- Competitive advantages of Zerion API not highlighted
## What Changes
Validate and document three operational capabilities that enhance the value proposition of the Zerion MCP Server:
**In Scope:**
- Document multi-chain aggregation behavior with examples
- Validate DeFi protocol relationship data in position responses
- Validate NFT metadata completeness (images, floor prices, descriptions)
- Create usage examples showing operational capabilities
- Update README with operational capabilities section
**Out of Scope:**
- Adding new API endpoints (use existing ones)
- Modifying API behavior (document as-is)
- Implementing new protocols (rely on Zerion's 8,000+)
- Custom NFT metadata parsing (use API responses directly)
## Success Criteria
- [x] Multi-chain aggregation documented with cross-chain query examples
- [x] DeFi protocol coverage validated and documented (relationships.dapp)
- [x] NFT metadata fields validated (name, description, image, floor_price)
- [x] README includes "Operational Capabilities" section
- [x] 10+ concrete examples showing operational features
- [x] Users understand Zerion's competitive advantages
