# Math Engine Development & Persistence
## Summary
Successfully implemented a comprehensive Math Engine for the RPG MCP Server with full persistence capabilities. The implementation includes deterministic dice rolling, probability calculations, symbolic algebra, calculus, physics simulations, and multiple export formats.
## Core Components
### Math Engines
1. **DiceEngine** - Deterministic dice roller with seeded RNG, advantage/disadvantage, and exploding dice
2. **ProbabilityEngine** - Statistical calculations with distributions and expected values
3. **AlgebraEngine** - Symbolic mathematics (solving, simplifying, differentiation, integration)
4. **PhysicsEngine** - Projectile motion and kinematics (SUVAT equations)
5. **ExportEngine** - Multi-format output (LaTeX, MathML, plaintext, steps)
### Persistence Layer
- Added `calculations` table to database schema
- Created `CalculationRepository` for CRUD operations
- Session-scoped calculation history
### MCP Tools
Registered 5 new tools with full persistence:
- `dice_roll` - Roll dice with standard notation
- `probability_calculate` - Calculate probabilities
- `algebra_solve` - Solve equations
- `algebra_simplify` - Simplify expressions
- `physics_projectile` - Calculate projectile trajectories

✓ All 5 integration tests passing
- Dice rolling with seed verification

# Quest System Implementation
## Summary
Implemented Quest System (Task 3.3) with full lifecycle support.
## Changes
### Schema
- `QuestSchema` - Quest structure (objectives, rewards, prerequisites)
- `QuestLogSchema` - Character progress tracking
### Database
- `quests` table
- `quest_logs` table
### Repository
Created `QuestRepository` with quest CRUD and log management.
### Tools
- `create_quest` - Define quests
- `assign_quest` - Assign to characters (checks prerequisites)
- `update_objective` - Update progress
- `complete_quest` - Complete and grant rewards
- `get_quest_log` - View character quests
## Testing
✓ Full lifecycle test passing - create, assign, update, complete quest with rewards
## Limitations
- Objective tracking per-character needs refactoring for multi-player
- Currency rewards not yet supported
