# Installing language servers This bridge assumes language servers are available on the machine that runs the bridge. ## Python ### Option A (recommended for Python-only environments) * **basedpyright** (PyPI) – installs cleanly with pip and includes the language server. ```bash pip install basedpyright basedpyright-langserver --help ``` ### Option B (widely used) * **pyright** (npm) – Node-based, used by many editors. ```bash npm i -g pyright pyright-langserver --stdio ``` ### Optional lint/autofix (Python) * **ruff-lsp** – diagnostics + quick fixes (no type navigation). ```bash pip install ruff ruff-lsp ruff-lsp --help ``` ## Rust ```bash rustup component add rust-analyzer rust-analyzer --version ``` ## C / C++ * **clangd** is part of LLVM. * For best results, generate `compile_commands.json` (CMake: `-DCMAKE_EXPORT_COMPILE_COMMANDS=1`). ```bash clangd --version ``` ## TypeScript / JavaScript / Node / React ```bash npm i -g typescript typescript-language-server typescript-language-server --stdio ``` ### Optional lint/autofix (JS/TS) * **ESLint LSP** – diagnostics + quick fixes (requires ESLint in the project). ```bash npm i -g vscode-langservers-extracted vscode-eslint-language-server --stdio ``` ## HTML / CSS Recommended bundle: ```bash npm i -g vscode-langservers-extracted vscode-html-language-server --stdio vscode-css-language-server --stdio ```
