### 1. Workflow Consolidation

- **After**: 2 workflow files (ci.yml, deploy.yml)
### 2. Simplified CI Workflow (`ci.yml`)
- Triggers on push to main/develop and PRs to main
- Single Python version (3.12) instead of matrix testing
- Focused on core functionality:
- Code linting with ruff
- Unit tests with 80% coverage requirement
- Integration tests only when relevant files change
- Simple coverage reporting on PRs
### 3. Deploy Workflow (`deploy.yml`)
- Only triggers on push to main branch
- Handles Docker build and security scanning
- Pushes to GitHub Container Registry
- No Docker builds on PRs to non-main branches
### 4. Removed Features
- PR title format validation
- Branch naming enforcement
- Complex PR metadata checks
- Multiple Python version testing
- Extensive security scanning on all branches
- Performance dashboard generation
- Dependency caching (UV is fast enough)
### 5. Test Structure Recommendations
Created a test consolidation plan to reduce redundant test files from ~50+ to ~10 core test files focusing on:
- Unit tests for MCP server, database adapters, and utilities
- Integration tests for Qdrant, Neo4j, and end-to-end workflows
- Removal of duplicate test files with overlapping coverage
### 6. Makefile Updates
- Added `test-ci` target that mimics the CI workflow
- Added `ci-lint` target for linting checks
- Integrated ruff as a make variable
