Use this when the user wants the latest SEC filings or EDGAR search results for a US public company, for example the latest 10-Q, 8-K filings, or a 10-K. Reads live SEC EDGAR submissions data and returns each filing's form, filing date, report date, description and a link to the document on sec.gov. Returns the 1,000 most recent submissions held by EDGAR's API; older filings are not included. Do not use for share prices, insider trading analysis, or investment advice.

Use this when the user wants company financials or revenue history from SEC filings for a US public company, for example 10-K revenue, net income by year, or a financial statements download. Reads live SEC EDGAR XBRL data and returns revenue, net income, total assets, liabilities, cash, operating cash flow and diluted EPS per annual or quarterly period, with year-over-year growth, plus CSV and XLSX files. Values are as reported, not adjusted; some filers use other concepts, which show 'not reported'. Do not use for share prices, forecasts, or investment advice.
