Three product-retrieval tools overlap heavily: search_catalog (full search), quick_search (same search, smaller payload), and lookup_catalog/get_product (id-based fetch), so an agent must guess which to use. list_merchants also already returns shipping/returns/payment terms, making get_merchant_policies partly redundant for a merchant already listed.

Names are consistently snake_case and mostly follow a verb_noun pattern (get_product, get_merchant_policies, list_merchants, lookup_catalog, search_catalog). quick_search deviates slightly (adjective_noun) but remains readable and in the same style.

Six tools is well-scoped for a read-only product directory, with no bloat. However, the count is inflated by near-duplicate search/retrieval variants that could be collapsed.

The surface covers search, id lookup, product detail, merchant listing, and merchant policies, which is solid read-only coverage. Minor gaps: no category/taxonomy browsing tool and no way to list products of a single merchant directly (only via search filter).
