Save Store settings

save_store
Destructive

PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the 'Store' field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel; all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched. In-game shop, built as a tree: Stores -> Layout.Sections -> Slots, plus a flat StoreOffers catalogue. A SLOT is the only address a product can be bought through, and it decides what stands in it: Rotation.Mode is Fixed (a pinned product - an ordinary shelf), Title (everyone sees the same roll) or Player (a personal roll), with a weighted Pool and an optional per-window purchase cap. The refresh window is a ScheduleSpec on the slot. A product not placed in any slot cannot be bought at all. Price is always a PriceOptions dictionary and can be virtual currency, crypto, a store product (real money), an ad credit, or FREE - an unset Cost means free, and a free product must be limited on some axis. Pricing.CompareAt is a struck-through price for display only and never reaches the charge. Identity.Tags and Identity.CustomParams are badges and ribbons the server never interprets. Distinct from Premium (real-money tiered offers) and DealOffer (limited-time promotions with progression).

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
valueYesRoot of the shop. Holds the storefront catalog (Stores) and the goods catalog (StoreOffers). A storefront is a TREE: store -> sections -> slots, and a purchasable offer is reachable only through a slot. An ordinary shelf of six SKUs is six Fixed slots; a daily rotation is the same six slots with a pool and a schedule. An offer deliberately has no host-storefront list: the single address is the slot, because a purchase must re-verify that the requested offer is the one that actually came up for this player in that slot.

TDQS

A4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare destructiveHint=true and readOnlyHint=false. The description adds valuable behavioral context beyond that: it specifies that ONLY the Store field is written and all other v1/v2 fields remain untouched, which is crucial for a destructive save operation. It does not cover auth, rate limits, or merge-vs-replace semantics, keeping it from a 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The critical partial-save constraint is front-loaded, which is excellent. However, the bulk of the description is a long domain primer on store mechanics, much of which duplicates the extensive schema descriptions. It is informative but not concise, and several sentences could be trimmed without losing tool-specific guidance.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a complex, destructive save tool with nested objects and no output schema, the description covers the essential scope (partial save) and gives a strong mental model of the store domain. It does not explicitly state whether the Store field is fully replaced or merged, which is a minor gap for a save operation.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents both parameters (title_id and value) thoroughly. The description provides a rich domain model that helps understand the value structure, but it does not add parameter-specific syntax or constraints beyond what the schema already states. Baseline 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The first sentence states a specific verb and resource: 'PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the Store field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel; all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched.' It also names the sibling modules it is distinct from (Premium, DealOffer), so an agent can tell it apart without opening schemas.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description clearly establishes that this tool saves the Store field only and distinguishes it from Premium and DealOffer, giving strong context for when to use it. It does not explicitly mention when to prefer get_store or other save_* tools, but the partial-save framing provides sufficient routing guidance.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
