PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the 'Quest' field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel; all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched. Quest / mission / objective definitions — single tasks the player completes for a reward. Includes trigger conditions, progress counters, completion criteria, reward references (use Reward). For grouped quest chains use Season or TimedEvent.

TDQS

A4.1/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

The 'PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the Quest field... all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched' clause adds real behavioral context beyond the destructiveHint annotation, telling the agent exactly what is and isn't affected. It stops short of stating whether the Quest field itself is fully replaced or merged, and gives no auth/scope notes.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The critical 'PARTIAL SAVE' constraint is front-loaded, and the rest is short. The middle sentences ('Quest / mission / objective definitions — single tasks...') are slightly loose but still earn their place by clarifying scope.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a mutation tool with a very large nested schema and destructiveHint annotations, the description supplies the essential missing piece (partial-write scope) and the sibling routing. The one remaining gap—replace-vs-merge semantics of the value field—keeps it from a 5.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so both title_id and the deeply nested value object are already documented in the schema. The description adds only a loose gloss of 'value' (quest/mission/objective definitions) and does not clarify required sub-structure, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (saves/writes) and resource (the Quest field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel), and explicitly distinguishes itself from siblings by scoping the write to one field. The 'single tasks for a reward' framing plus the pointer to Season/TimedEvent for chains makes it unmistakable against save_season/save_timed_event.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Clearly routes the agent: use this for single quest/mission/objective definitions, use Reward for reward references, and use Season or TimedEvent for grouped quest chains. No explicit exclusions or prerequisites (e.g. required scope/permissions), so it stops just short of a 5.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
