Destructive

PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the 'Marketplace' field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel; all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched. Player-to-player marketplace (v2) — fixed-price listings (price = ResourceBundle), auctions (single-axis bids), buy orders (escrowed payment), and direct trades/gifts. Configures the audience gate, open-window schedule, price composition policy (reusing the same EntryResourceRule whitelist as Match), commission policy (percent/min, burn or ledger sink, per-goods-catalog overrides), item tradability lists, and per-mechanic settings/limits. Distinct from Store (title-sold SKUs) and DealOffer (promotions): here players trade with each other. Everything offered is escrowed at creation; commission is taken at settlement.

P2P trading on the atomic ResourceService stack: fixed-price listings (price = ResourceBundle), auctions (single-axis bids), buy orders (escrowed payment), direct trades/gifts. Everything offered is escrowed into the offer document at creation. Commission is taken at settlement (burned or credited to the title ledger). Escrow/refund claims are never gated by Gate/Schedule.

TDQS

A4.3/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=false and destructiveHint=true, so the safety profile is known; the description adds the crucial mitigation that only one field of the config model is overwritten and the rest is preserved, plus domain behavior (escrow at creation, commission at settlement). It does not say whether the supplied value replaces the whole Marketplace sub-tree or merges with existing sub-fields — a relevant gap for a destructive write.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The most operationally important fact — 'PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the Marketplace field' — is front-loaded in the first clause, before any domain exposition. The remaining prose is dense with parentheticals but every clause carries information; it is on the long side for a two-parameter tool yet not padded.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive config write with two parameters, no output schema, and a very rich input schema, the description supplies the write scope, the domain model, the sibling boundaries and the money-flow semantics. What is missing is merge-vs-replace behavior for sub-objects and any prerequisite (e.g. that the Marketplace module must be enabled) — material omissions for a destructiveHint=true tool, but not disqualifying.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and the nested MarketplaceDefinitions is thoroughly self-documented, so baseline would be 3. The description goes a step further by enumerating the configurable areas (gate, schedule, price composition, commission, tradability, per-mechanic limits) and cross-referencing that the price policy reuses the EntryResourceRule whitelist from Match, which helps an agent map intent to the right sub-object.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and a precisely scoped resource: 'writes ONLY the Marketplace field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel'. It also names the domain (player-to-player marketplace v2) and explicitly separates it from siblings Store and DealOffer, so an agent can pick it without opening the schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly frames the operation as a PARTIAL SAVE that leaves all other v1/v2 fields untouched, and states when NOT to use it ('Distinct from Store ... and DealOffer ...: here players trade with each other'). It stops short of saying when to use it versus the sibling get_marketplace (read-first) or other save_* tools, so it is strong but not fully complete.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
