Save Deal Offer settings

save_deal_offer
Destructive

PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the 'DealOffer' field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel; all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched. Limited-time offers WITH PROGRESSION — starter packs, comeback bundles, aquarium-style chains, pick-one-of-N. Two axes: a SLOT is a UI position that cycles through its own ordered Queue of offers (its Availability.Schedule decides how: Chained advances per player, Scheduled/Cyclic/AlwaysOn follow the wall clock, Triggered fires on an event), and an OFFER is a graph of nodes. There is no declared graph mode: the shape (single, chain, branching, choice, metered) is whatever Graph.RootNodeIDs, node NextNodeIDs, ChoiceGroupID and UnlockRules describe. Every node declares its own price as a PriceOptions dictionary — resources, crypto, a store product (real money), an AD CREDIT (that is how "watch a video" is expressed; only the server grants credits) or nothing at all, which means free. A node pays out Reward.Grants, moves offer-local Tracks and adds Reward.MilestonePoints to the offer milestone bar. Slots, offers and nodes are decomposed into named blocks (Identity, Availability, Behaviour, Graph, Milestones, Pricing, Reward), each with its own independent preset binding into DealOffer.Presets. Distinct from Store (always-on shop, no progression) and Premium (ongoing paid subscriptions).

TDQS

A3.7/5.0
Behavior3/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare destructiveHint=true and readOnlyHint=false; the description usefully adds that other v1/v2 fields stay untouched. But for a destructive write it omits the most important behavioral facts: whether the DealOffer object is fully replaced (dropping existing slots/offers), whether validation rejects the whole save, and what happens on partial/invalid input.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loading is good — the 'PARTIAL SAVE' constraint comes first. But the bulk of the text re-explains slots, queues, node graphs, pricing options and presets that the schema's definitions already document at great length, so a large fraction of the sentences do not earn their place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive, nested, two-parameter save tool the domain model is covered exhaustively, but the write contract is missing: overwrite vs merge into the existing DealOffer, atomicity, validation/error behavior. With an output schema absent and no annotations beyond destructive=true, those gaps matter.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and there are only two parameters, so the schema does the heavy lifting. The description's domain exposition (slots/offers/nodes, blocks, preset bindings, price options) contextualizes the nested 'value' structure, but it never explains title_id or the replace/merge semantics of 'value', so it adds only marginal parameter meaning.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Opens with a specific verb and scope: 'PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the DealOffer field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel'. It also names the neighboring modules it is not (Store, Premium), so the agent can distinguish it from save_store / save_premium without opening schemas.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Clearly states the scope of the write and explicitly contrasts it with Store and Premium modules, giving routing context. However, it never says the agent should read the current config first (get_deal_offer) or that the supplied value replaces the entire DealOffer subtree — a critical when-to-use caveat for a save tool.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
