TDQS

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already flag destructiveHint=true / readOnlyHint=false, so the safety profile is known. The description adds the essential nuance that the write is field-scoped and does not touch other v1/v2 configuration, which materially changes how an agent should reason about risk. It omits auth requirements, whether Definitions replaces or merges the existing dictionary, and error behavior on bad IDs.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The most important constraint ('PARTIAL SAVE') is the first token, followed by a compact domain gloss. Two dense sentences, no filler, nothing repeated from the schema title.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive nested-object write with no output schema, the definition supplies the critical scope guarantee and the domain/cross-reference model. The remaining gap is whether the supplied Definitions object replaces the whole Craft field's contents or merges with existing definitions, which an agent needs before writing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3. The description goes beyond it by explaining what the value payload semantically covers (inputs, output item, success rate, time cost, station/skill prerequisites) and by cross-referencing that item IDs resolve against the Item catalogue and costs against Currency — genuine integration knowledge.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Opens with a specific verb and scope ('PARTIAL SAVE: writes ONLY the Craft field of TitlePublicConfigurationModel') and then names the exact resource domain (crafting/recipe definitions). An agent can distinguish it from get_craft or save_item without consulting the schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The 'PARTIAL SAVE ... all other v1/v2 fields stay untouched' framing effectively tells the agent when this tool is appropriate (targeted craft edits without clobbering other config). It stops short of explicitly naming an alternative tool or a when-not condition.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
