MCP Peek is a desktop inspector, runner, and proxy for MCP servers. Connect any server over stdio or HTTP/SSE, browse its full catalog of tools, resources, resource templates, and prompts (each with a token-cost estimate), run tools through auto-generated forms, and use the built-in proxy to capture live request/response traffic — all local-first and private by default.
App Overview
The MCP Peek workspace. On the left, the server rail lists your connected MCP servers; the center catalog explorer browses the selected server's Tools, Resources, Resource Templates, and Prompts — each with a token-cost estimate and a per-server "Context exposed" summary. On the right, the Inspector runs the selected tool via an auto-generated form (or JSON) and renders the result in a rich, auto-detected view.
