"A server for retrieving papers on arXiv" matching MCP tools:

  • Register a new Fractera user and start the deployment of their server in one atomic call. Use this AFTER you have collected the user's email (entered twice for typo protection), server IP, and root password. Creates the User row (or reuses an existing one with the same email), creates a free Subscription, creates a ServerToken, wipes any previous installation on the target server, and launches bootstrap. The deploy is IP-first (phase-1): the server comes up on plain HTTP at http://<IP>:3002 in 8-14 minutes; it does NOT get a domain or HTTPS cert here (that is an optional later step inside the workspace). Returns session_id (for a single on-demand check_status read — do not poll) and server_token (so the user can recover via retry_deploy if anything breaks). Call this AT MOST ONCE per conversation.

  • Search quantum computing research papers from arXiv. Use when the user asks about recent research, specific papers, or academic topics in quantum computing. NOT for jobs (use searchJobs) or researcher profiles (use searchCollaborators). Supports natural language queries decomposed via AI into structured filters (topic, tag, author, affiliation, domain). Date range defaults to last 7 days; max lookback 12 months. Returns newest first, max 50 results. Use getPaperDetails for full abstract and analysis of a specific paper. Examples: "trapped ion papers from Google", "QEC review papers this month", "quantum error correction".

  • Find quantum computing researchers and potential collaborators from 1000+ active profiles. Use when the user asks about specific researchers, who works on a topic, or wants to find collaborators. NOT for jobs (use searchJobs) or papers (use searchPapers). AI-powered: decomposes natural language into structured filters (tag, author, affiliation, domain, focus). Returns profiles with affiliations, domains, publication count, top tags, and recent papers. Data from arXiv papers published in the last 12 months. Max 50 results. Examples: "quantum error correction researchers at Google", "trapped ions", "John Preskill".

  • Returns instructions for migrating from an existing auth provider to PropelAuth in a fullstack Nextjs App Router or Nextjs Pages Router application. If the user is using Next.js as just a frontend (e.g. client-side rendered with or without server routes), use the migrate_to_propelauth_frontend tool. Guidance includes installation and configuration, retrieving user or org information, logging users out, redirecting users to login, and more. Make sure to use the 'Installation' guidance first. It is important to call every guidance to ensure a successful integration. Do not update a component/hook/etc from the auth provider until you receive guidance about that component/hook/etc

  • Resolve scholarly identifiers to structured CSL JSON metadata (title, authors, journal, year, identifiers). Use when the user wants raw bibliographic data to inspect, transform, or feed into another tool — not a formatted citation. Common single-shot conversions: PMID → PMCID, arXiv → DOI, ISBN → CSL JSON, WHO IRIS URL → structured metadata. Accepts DOI, PMID, PMCID, ISBN, arXiv ID, ISSN, NASA ADS bibcode, or WHO IRIS URL, with or without prefixes (PMID:, arXiv:, ISBN hyphens, https://doi.org/...). Pass a single identifier or a comma/newline-separated batch — one round trip per call. Returns: a JSON array of CSL items, each with id, type, title, author[], issued.date-parts, container-title, DOI/PMID/PMCID/ISBN/ISSN/URL when available. Use formatCitation instead when the user wants a finished citation string in a specific style; use exportCitation when they want a downloadable bibliography file. Read-only and idempotent — safe to retry. Works anonymously against the public Scholar Sidekick API (rate-limited free tier); set SCHOLAR_API_KEY (a free ssk_ key from https://scholar-sidekick.com/account) for higher limits, or RAPIDAPI_KEY for paid RapidAPI tiers. Rate limits follow your tier; the underlying REST API caches repeated identical requests and surfaces cache state in the x-scholar-cache response header.

  • Start charging for an MCP server the user owns. Use when they want to monetize, sell, charge for, get paid for, put a price on, or make money from a server, API or tool. Buyers pay their wallet DIRECTLY on-chain — PayGate never holds the money, so there is no payout to wait for, no balance to withdraw and no commission taken. Their server is never modified and needs no payment code. Tools are imported automatically, so it must be publicly reachable over HTTPS and answer tools/list. Returns a proxy URL and a secret api_key shown only once; save it, every other seller tool needs it.

  • Answer a question using ONLY the papers you've saved — a synthesis over your library (or one collection) with inline [arXiv-ID] citations. The inverse of find_gaps (which finds important work you're MISSING): ask_library reasons over what you HAVE. Optionally scope to one collection (collection_name OR collection_id); omit both to use your whole library. Read-only. Requires SF_API_KEY (it reads your saved set). Free accounts get 1 question/month; Pro raises this to 200/day.

  • Check whether a single scholarly work is openly accessible and where to find the best legal version. Use when the user asks 'is this open access?', 'where can I read this for free?', or wants the OA license/version before reusing or redistributing. Sourced from Unpaywall. Resolves DOI/PMID/PMCID/arXiv/ISBN/ADS inputs to a DOI before lookup; inputs that don't map to a DOI return doi=null and reason='no_doi'. arXiv inputs check the linked published-journal DOI when arXiv records one; a preprint without one returns doi=null and reason='no_doi' (Unpaywall does not index arXiv preprints, which are freely readable on arXiv regardless). Single identifier per call — does NOT accept comma/newline batches; loop one call per identifier for multiple papers. Returns: { doi, resolvedFrom?, reason?, result } where result has isOa (boolean), oaStatus ('gold' | 'green' | 'hybrid' | 'bronze' | 'closed'), title, bestLocation ({url, hostType: 'publisher' | 'repository', license, version: 'submittedVersion' | 'acceptedVersion' | 'publishedVersion'} or null), and locations (array of the same shape); result is null when no DOI could be resolved and reason explains why ('no_doi'). No sibling tool overlaps this — resolveIdentifier returns metadata but not OA status. Read-only and idempotent — safe to retry. • Map the conceptual landscape around a topic ACROSS THE PAPER CORPUS. Searches papers and their chunks, not the layer-2 claim graph — for published CLAIMS on a topic use methodist_explore_topic. Instead of returning a ranked list of papers, returns N distinct conceptual clusters with representative chunks. Built on keyConcept LLM-extracted markers diversification. Use for "what approaches exist to X" queries — answers with thematic map rather than ranked list. Better than search when you want breadth over depth. Temporal bias note: for topics with dense recent literature (e.g. current LLM research), the default ordering favors recent papers because vector similarity finds them first; specify dateTo for historical exploration of mature topics, or dateFrom+dateTo to slice a specific era. Diversification cap (maxClustersPerPaper) limits how many clusters can have the same source paper as representative chunk — protects against single-paper dominance.

  • Get recent AI/ML research papers from one of three feeds, chosen with the source argument. arxiv_recent is the firehose: newest arXiv submissions in cs.AI / cs.LG / cs.CL / cs.CV by submission date, refreshed daily at 11:30 UTC. trending is citation-ranked from Semantic Scholar across five fan-out queries, deduped, refreshed daily at 11:00 UTC. hf_daily is Hugging Face editor-curated with community upvotes and discussion counts, refreshed daily at 14:15 UTC. Pick arxiv_recent for what is brand new, trending for what is influential, hf_daily for what practitioners are discussing. License: arXiv and Semantic Scholar permit metadata use; the standard attribution block ships on every response.

  • Retrieve works associated with an ORCID iD — publications, datasets, software, preprints, and more. Returns work summaries with put-codes, titles, types, publication dates, journal names, and all external identifiers (DOIs, PMIDs, arXiv IDs, ISBNs). The first 50 works are returned by default; workCount reports the total available, and prolific records are paged with offset and the returned nextOffset (or raise limit). Set include_external_ids to false to omit identifier lists for a lighter payload. Pass the putCode from each work to orcid_get_work_detail to retrieve the full record including abstract and contributors. External IDs are ready for chaining to Crossref, PubMed, or arXiv servers. Works are self-reported; a researcher may not have linked all their publications.

  • Check whether a single scholarly work has been retracted, corrected, or had an expression of concern raised. Use when the user asks 'has this paper been retracted?' or wants to verify a paper's standing before citing it (clinical, regulatory, evidence-synthesis contexts). For multi-paper bibliography audits (clinical guidelines, systematic reviews), loop one call per identifier — the tool intentionally rejects batch input to keep retraction-status results unambiguous per work. Sourced from Crossref `updated-by` (which mirrors Retraction Watch). Resolves DOI/PMID/PMCID/arXiv/ADS inputs to a DOI before lookup; ISBN inputs always return doi=null and reason='no_doi' since books are not in the retraction graph. arXiv inputs check the linked published-journal DOI when arXiv records one; a preprint without one returns doi=null and reason='no_doi' (preprints are outside the Crossref retraction graph — arXiv marks withdrawals on the abstract page instead). Single identifier per call — does NOT accept comma/newline batches; loop one call per identifier for multiple papers. Returns: { doi, resolvedFrom?, reason?, result } where result has isRetracted, hasCorrections, hasConcern (booleans), notices (array of {type, label, doi, date, source} where type is a raw Crossref update type such as 'retraction', 'correction', 'erratum' or 'expression_of_concern'), and title; result is null when no DOI could be resolved and reason explains why ('no_doi'). No sibling tool overlaps this — resolveIdentifier returns metadata but not retraction status. Read-only and idempotent — safe to retry. • Find LIVE tools that can accomplish a task you describe in plain language — call this when you do NOT yet know which tool to use. Unlike find_alternatives / find_related_tools (which need a tool id you already have), this takes a free-text capability query (e.g. 'send a slack message', 'convert currency', 'search arxiv papers') and returns ready-to-use tool ids ranked by semantic similarity, filtered to tools that are live right now — each result carries the tool's advertised input schema, its actual connection endpoint (the MCP endpoint URL, or the package to launch for stdio servers), and whether it is FREE or PAID with the price + how to pay — so you can invoke it immediately without a second lookup or an MCP-registry search (on-demand / MCP-Zero style tool discovery). The discovery entry point at the start of a new task.

  • Explains how to create a SOVEREIGN identity — keys are born on the USER'S device (never on the server; no private key crosses the wire). Returns guidance, not a key. The server only handles public keys (identity_verify, identity_fingerprint).

  • Verify a pasted reference list (plain text, BibTeX or RIS) against Crossref, OpenAlex, DataCite, Semantic Scholar, arXiv, PubMed and DBLP, plus Retraction Watch. Flags references that cannot be found (possibly fabricated), retracted papers and DOI mismatches. One check per day without an account; sign in for more.
