"A search for finding the best web search engines or tools" matching MCP tools:

  • Multi-engine web search (metasearch). One search query fanned out across 2-3 search engines (Brave, Yahoo, Yandex) with results deduplicated by URL and merged by reciprocal-rank fusion: consensus ranking across engines instead of one engine's bias, with per-engine rank attribution on every result. [$0.05/call]. Params — q: search query; engines: comma list of 2-3 engines: yahoo, yandex (web mode). news mode has a single live engine (bing), so multi-engine is web-only; num_results: max results per engine, cap 25; region: locale, e.g. us-en, uk-en, de-de; timelimit: restrict to past day/week/month/year (d|w|m|y); safesearch: string (on|moderate|off); mode: string (web|news) Example params: {'q': 'best vector database 2026', 'engines': 'yahoo,yandex'}

  • Search Tako's data graph and the live web in one call: many results at once, as structured cards plus web results, with the top card rendered inline as a chart. It finds data; `tako_contents` fetches it. Each card carries a headline value, node ids, and a url — pass the url to `tako_contents` for rows (`exportable: true` cards) or a web result's full page text. When `exportable` is false the rows are locked — read the headline value from the card's `description`. Best for: breadth — fan out several narrow queries in parallel. Each query resolves one metric — for one entity, or a comparison set ("Apple revenue", "Nvidia vs AMD gross margin"); several metrics or topics in one query retrieve poorly. To learn what Tako covers, or a metric's canonical name, run `tako_available_data` first, then search on the canonical name it returns.

  • Search live Vee3 agent tools by keyword or short task description. Call this first when you are unsure which tool to use. Returns ranked matches with tool_name, summary, and cost for each hit. Use meta-tools.describe on the best match for full request and response schemas. Optional group_id narrows results to one capability group. limit defaults to 8 (maximum 20). Cost = 0 tokens.

  • Generate a new sourced encyclopedia article from a title (web search + LLM, ~15s). Returns the existing article instead if the topic is already covered. Daily rate limit applies — search first.

  • General-purpose Google search — returns organic results for any query. Unlike search_google_xray (LinkedIn-only), this searches the entire web. Useful for finding job postings on portals (jobs.cz, prace.cz, profesia.sk, indeed.com), company info, news, or any other web content. Results are NOT saved to contacts — use this for research and discovery. Capped at 4 calls per minute to protect the Serper/Google budget.

  • [Read] Search and analyze X/Twitter discussions for a topic, with tweet-level evidence and cited posts. Aggregate social mood, sentiment score, or positive/negative split -> get_social_sentiment. Open-web pages -> web_search. Multi-platform social search -> search_ugc. Read-only public research data. No account access, no order placement or fund transfers. Not investment advice.

  • Google Web Search: Google Web Search API. Search the world’s information, including webpages.

  • Web search for AI agents. Ranked results with page passages already extracted, plus URL to markdown.

  • [Read] Search the open web and return a synthesized answer with cited external pages. Built-in headline lookup, news-item search, or briefing-style news list -> search_news. X/Twitter-only discussion or tweet evidence -> search_x. Read-only public research data. No account access, no order placement or fund transfers. Not investment advice.

  • Samples the major AI engines for which companies they name for a query (e.g. "best CRM for startups"); returns a consensus shortlist (≤5). Use when you want to know who agents *recommend* for a category — not where a specific brand is mentioned (use scan_visibility for that). Free, no URL needed. Result: { companies[], tool_schema_version }.

  • Fallback news lookup for clients without native web search. Returns structured current-news articles from NewsAPI and The Guardian. Coverage: recent events, people, and topics (post-May-2025). Does NOT cover timeless topics (history, geography, science). Narrower and less current than native web search tools (WebSearch, web fetch) when available. Returns: article title, source, author, date, URL, description, and image URL per result.

  • Google search results scraping via Decodo (formerly Smartproxy) — runs a Google search through rotating proxies and returns structured organic results (position, title, url, snippet) plus related searches when parsing succeeds. BYOK — _apiKey is your Decodo Web Scraping API "username:password" credentials. Example: decodo_google_search({ query: "best running shoes 2026", geo: "United States", _apiKey: "user:pass" })

  • Generate a personalized Canton Network developer onboarding/quickstart path. Use when a developer asks how to start building, build a dApp, or develop on Canton specifically. Canton-only. Do not use for onboarding to other chains or tools. Ask the user's background first (EVM, Solana, Sui/Move, Web, Enterprise, or New to Blockchain). Prefer this over 'search' for 'how to build / get started on Canton'; use get_faq for a single specific gotcha and get_api_reference for API details.

  • Read the full text of one Celestia whitepaper or research PDF by slug. Celestia papers only — not arbitrary web PDFs (use a web-search tool for those). Call list_whitepapers first to get a valid slug.

  • Personalized onboarding for building ON CELESTIA — running a node, posting a blob, or deploying a rollup that uses Celestia for data availability. ALWAYS use this when a developer asks how to get started or build ON CELESTIA (prefer it over the Celestia search tool for those questions). ASK the user about their background FIRST (rollup_dev, node_operator, app_dev, researcher, new_to_celestia), then return a path with docs.celestia.org links. Celestia-only — NOT for getting started with non-Celestia frameworks, languages, or dev tools (React, Node.js, generic blockchain onboarding, etc.); for those defer to a general docs or web-search tool.

  • Full-text search across the VoyageHacks travel guides, about 680 published pages per language, covering flights, airline reviews, hotels, destinations, car rental, trains, airport transfers, eSIM, travel VPN, travel credit cards, travel gear and month-by-month "where to go" guides. Returns ranked matches with the title, canonical URL, section and a matching excerpt for each. Useful when a travel question needs published prices, comparisons, best-time-to-visit advice or step-by-step detail that can be attributed to a source URL, and as the first step before get_article. It searches VoyageHacks content only: not the wider web, not live fares or hotel availability, and it returns no booking or product links (the get_..._links tools do that).

  • Run a public web search and return titles, URLs, and snippets as JSON. Use when you need current public web results for a query. Do not use for private/intranet pages — call vc_page_markdown with a known URL instead. Sibling: vc_page_markdown (one URL), pay (generic slug caller). Auth: free-trial or prepaid X-Vibes-Key preferred; else USDC via x402 (~$0.02). Side effects: outbound HTTP to a search provider; no local writes. Returns JSON results, or a payment_required challenge if unpaid.

  • Two measurements, kept apart. First, your share of mentions in your own tracked answers against the rivals the engines named there. Second, web mention share: how often a web-scale index of ChatGPT answers mentions you against the brands we compare you with, which is not a rival list. Use get_rivals for who the engines name instead of you.

  • Exa's neural web search, one call at a time — Exa's neural web search, resold per call — no Exa account, no subscription, one USDC micro-payment. Pass query= and get ranked results: title, URL, publish date, author, relevance score. numResults=1..10 (default 5). type=auto|fast|instant. includeDomains= restricts the search. Add text=1 for matched highlights from each page (caps results at 5, priced $0.03; the 402 challenge quotes it). For agents that need what the web says today, not what a training cutoff remembers. Required input: query. Priced $0.01 per call over x402 on Base; send a prepaid x-credit-token header for unlimited calls, or get 1 free call/day per tool. No wallet or API key required.

  • Brave Local Search API returns enriched information (address, phone, hours, rating) for location-search results. Access requires the Brave Search API Pro plan; currently US-only. Two-step flow: first call `brave_web_search` with `result_filter=locations` to obtain `locations.results[].id`, then pass them here. NOTE: This tool takes location IDs from a prior web-search response; if you have a free-text query, call `brave_web_search` first.

  • Semantic search across all extracted datasheets. Finds components matching natural language queries about specifications, features, or capabilities. Best for broad spec-based discovery across all parts (e.g. 'low-noise LDO with PSRR above 70dB'). Only searches datasheets that have been previously extracted — not all parts that exist. For finding specific parts by number, use search_parts instead.

  • Search XPay Hub for paid API services. Use this PROACTIVELY when the user asks you to: search the web, find emails, enrich contacts/companies, verify emails, find similar websites, extract web page content, get company news, search for people by title/company, get job postings, generate images, or any data lookup task. Returns matching servers with slugs, tool counts, and pricing. Use xpay_details next to see the full tool list for a server.
