Extracts content from Reddit threads to generate authentic social media posts with TLDRs and discussion questions.
Fetches content from Substack articles to transform them into various platform-ready social media formats.
Extracts descriptions and metadata from YouTube video pages to assist in creating social media snippets and threads.
Click on "Install Server".
Wait a few minutes for the server to deploy. Once ready, it will show a "Started" state.
In the chat, type
@followed by the MCP server name and your instructions, e.g., "@Recast MCPTurn https://example.com/article into a LinkedIn post"
That's it! The server will respond to your query, and you can continue using it as needed.

How it works
Recast MCP gives your AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, etc.) two capabilities:
fetch_contenttool — Fetches any URL and extracts clean, readable text (strips ads, navigation, boilerplate)4 prompt templates — Platform-specific content generation for LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, and Newsletter
Your AI does the writing. Recast handles the extraction and formatting rules.

Tone options
Each prompt accepts a tone parameter:
professional(default) — Polished, business-readycasual— Relaxed, conversationaltechnical— Detailed, assumes domain expertise
