Krypsis-Network

@krypsisnetwork/mcp

Official

@krypsisnetwork/mcp

Private swaps and sends on Robinhood Chain for AI agents, through Krypsis. A local MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and any MCP client. With a wallet, it pays its own deposits.

It runs on your machine. The wallet key and its passphrase stay there.

Install

Node 20 or later.

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --scope user krypsis -- npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp

--scope user shows the tools in every project, not only the folder you ran it in.

Cursor, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "krypsis": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@krypsisnetwork/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Codex, in ~/.codex/config.toml:

[mcp_servers.krypsis]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "@krypsisnetwork/mcp"]

Permissions

A quote lasts about 20 seconds. In Claude Code, open /permissions and allow these two, so a quote is not lost while an approval waits:

  • mcp__krypsis__krypsis_quote

  • mcp__krypsis__krypsis_swap

Leave krypsis_pay asking. It is the one tool that moves funds.

Have the recipient address ready before you ask for a quote.

Wallet

A wallet is optional. Without one, you send each deposit yourself.

Run these in a terminal:

Command

What it does

npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp wallet create

Makes a new wallet, saved as an encrypted keystore

npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp wallet import

Saves an existing private key as an encrypted keystore

npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp wallet address

Prints the wallet address

The keystore is the standard Ethereum format. Any wallet imports it. There is no export command.

The server needs the passphrase to open the keystore. Your MCP client starts the server without a terminal, so pass the passphrase in its environment. If you added the server before, remove it first:

claude mcp remove krypsis
claude mcp add --scope user krypsis -e KRYPSIS_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD="<passphrase>" -- npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp

In Cursor, add "env": { "KRYPSIS_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD": "<passphrase>" } next to args. In Codex, add env = { KRYPSIS_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD = "<passphrase>" }. The passphrase then sits in that config file. Keep in this wallet only what you plan to swap.

Without the passphrase, or with a wrong one, the server still starts, without the wallet. Quotes and swaps work, and the wallet tools say what is missing. Add the passphrase as above, then restart the server.

How paying works

You have

At the deposit

A funded wallet

krypsis_pay sends the exact deposit from it

No wallet, and want one

npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp wallet create makes one. Fund its address once, then as above

No wallet at all

krypsis_swap answers the deposit address and amount. Send it from any wallet

The wallet needs ETH for gas, plus the asset you swap.

Safety

The wallet pays only Krypsis deposit addresses for its own swaps, and only when the swap delivers to this wallet or to an address you allowed. krypsis_pay takes the amount and the recipient krypsis_swap showed, and sends nothing when either differs from the swap. No tool sends funds anywhere else.

Recipients

A swap that delivers to the wallet itself needs nothing more. To pay swaps and sends that deliver to another address, list it in KRYPSIS_RECIPIENTS, comma separated, checksummed or lower case:

claude mcp add --scope user krypsis -e KRYPSIS_RECIPIENTS="0x…,0x…" -- npx -y @krypsisnetwork/mcp

With a passphrase too, add one -e for each: -e KRYPSIS_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD="<passphrase>" -e KRYPSIS_RECIPIENTS="0x…".

An entry that is not an address is ignored, and the server says how many on start. Without a wallet the list does nothing: you send each deposit yourself.

Tools

  • krypsis_tokens lists the assets you can swap or send, ETH and USDG first.

  • krypsis_routes shows the routes for a pair, with each minimum and maximum.

  • krypsis_quote quotes an amount. It uses one of your quotes.

  • krypsis_swap creates the swap from a quote and answers where to send the deposit.

  • krypsis_pay pays the deposit from the local wallet. The only tool that moves funds.

  • krypsis_status shows where a swap stands.

  • krypsis_orders lists the swaps this install created.

  • krypsis_handoff gives a one time link to follow or fund the swap in a browser.

  • krypsis_wallet shows the wallet address and its balances.

  • krypsis_rewards shows rewards, signs the wallet up and claims.

Limits

The same limits as the site apply.

Privacy

What leaves your machine:

  • Calls to the Krypsis API at app.krypsis.network: quotes, swaps and their status. The time zone sent is always UTC. The user agent names the package and its version, nothing about the machine.

  • Calls to the Robinhood Chain RPC: balances, fees and the transactions the wallet signs.

  • With krypsis_pay, the wallet's address, on chain: Krypsis and the route provider see which address paid each deposit.

  • With krypsis_rewards, the wallet address and a signed message, so Krypsis can tie rewards to that wallet.

  • A swap to your own wallet names its address as the recipient, as any swap names its recipient.

Nothing else. No telemetry, no analytics, no update check. The key and the passphrase never leave the machine.

Files

Everything lives in ~/.krypsis, readable by you only. Another place set in KRYPSIS_HOME must be a full path, and a directory that already exists there must be private (mode 700).

  • config.json holds the RPC and where the keystore is.

  • keystore.json is the encrypted wallet.

  • session.json is the Krypsis session.

  • orders.json lists the swaps this install created, with no addresses.

  • payments.json records each deposit paid, so none is paid twice.

Environment

Variable

Use

KRYPSIS_HOME

Where the files live. ~/.krypsis by default

KRYPSIS_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD

Opens the keystore without a prompt

KRYPSIS_PRIVATE_KEY

A hex key used in place of the keystore. The less careful option

KRYPSIS_RECIPIENTS

Addresses besides the wallet that a paid swap may deliver to. See Recipients

KRYPSIS_RPC

Another Robinhood Chain RPC

KRYPSIS_API_ORIGIN

Another Krypsis API, for local testing. Plain http only on localhost. The wallet pays only against app.krypsis.network or localhost

Uninstall

Remove the server from your client (claude mcp remove krypsis, or its entry in the Cursor or Codex config). Then delete ~/.krypsis. If the wallet still holds funds, move them first, or keep keystore.json.
