get_oracle_health

Read oracle ecosystem, feed, provider, protocol or asset health. Use it to answer freshness, uptime, latency, anomaly, coverage, peg, exposure, incident and daily-report questions before trusting a price or a protocol. Do not use it for a price quote (get_oracle_price) or for a trade gate (check_trade_safety). Returns the matching health rows, verdicts, counts and timestamps for the selected scope.

TDQS

A4.1/5.0
Behavior3/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

No annotations are supplied, so the description carries the behavioral burden. 'Read' and 'Returns the matching health rows, verdicts, counts and timestamps' establish read-only semantics and a rough return shape, which is valuable given there is no output schema. However, for a 15-parameter tool it says nothing about permissions, data freshness/caching, result ordering, or how limit/offset interact, which an agent needs to call it confidently.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three sentences, front-loaded with the purpose, then usage, then return shape — a sound ordering with no filler. The middle sentence is a long enumeration of question types, which is dense but each item maps to a real metric in the schema, so it earns its place; minor trim possible.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a 15-parameter, annotation-free tool with no output schema, the description covers purpose, alternatives, scope selection and return contents, which is most of what is needed. Remaining gaps are pagination guidance (limit/offset behavior) and the ambiguous 'period' semantics, which the description could have resolved.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 93%, so the schema already documents nearly every parameter and the baseline of 3 applies. The description adds scope-selection framing ('the selected scope') and the notion of matching 'rows, verdicts, counts and timestamps', but does not resolve genuine ambiguities the schema leaves — notably the 'period' unit ('hours or days') and how 'metric' defaults interact with 'scope'.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Opens with a specific verb and resource ('Read oracle ecosystem, feed, provider, protocol or asset health') and enumerates the distinct surfaces covered, which maps directly onto the scope enum. It also explicitly names the two siblings it is not (get_oracle_price, check_trade_safety), so an agent can separate it from adjacent tools without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

States the positive invocation context concretely — freshness, uptime, latency, anomaly, coverage, peg, exposure, incident and daily-report questions, and the framing 'before trusting a price or a protocol'. It then gives explicit exclusions with named alternatives for each ('Do not use it for a price quote (get_oracle_price) or for a trade gate (check_trade_safety)'), leaving nothing to inference.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
