Before your agent pays an x402 endpoint — is the seller real? — x402 proves payment, not trust: an agent handed a URL pays blind, and the payee may be a real service or a burner that takes the USDC and vanishes. Give a url and/or a payTo wallet and get GO/WARN/STOP: is the URL a well-formed 402 resource, does its price match, and is the seller wallet sanctioned, a fresh throwaway, or paying a different address than you expected. Screens the PAYMENT side the protocol drops — not a guarantee the service returns good data. Priced $0.04 per call over x402 on Base; send a prepaid x-credit-token header for unlimited calls, or get 1 free call/day per tool. No wallet or API key required.
