Set wiki page readers

set_wiki_page_readers
Destructive

Say whom a wiki page is REQUIRED READING for, and tell them. The three arguments together are the WHOLE list and replace the one before — read it with get_wiki_page_reading first and pass back what should stay. 'users' is usernames or e-mails as 'a,b' (each must be able to read the page); 'members: true' is everybody on the page's project, whoever they are on the day; 'teamRoles' is the project's team roles by name as 'a,b'. Everybody on the list who has not been told about the edition to read gets a notification that opens the page, and one reminder two working days later if they have not marked it. An empty list switches it off; marks already made are kept. With 'askAgain: true' the list is left as it is and everybody who has NOT read the edition is told once more — and on a page with no approved edition, the edition to read becomes the one the page is at now. The project's lead, the company's owner or an admin only.

A4.7/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Beyond the destructiveHint=true annotation, it discloses the destructive mechanism precisely: the three arguments are the WHOLE list and replace the previous one. It adds notification and one-reminder-in-two-working-days behavior, that marks are preserved when the list is emptied, and the authorization requirement (project lead, company owner or admin). It does not say what the response looks like or whether partial failure is possible, so not a full 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The replacement rule and the get_wiki_page_reading prerequisite are front-loaded, and almost every clause carries information an agent needs. It is dense and somewhat run-on, with a couple of clauses packed together (notification + reminder + askAgain) that could be separated, but there is no filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive, permission-gated mutation with no output schema, the description covers the authorization gate, the replacement semantics, the notification/reminder effects, the reversibility caveat (marks kept), and the alternate askAgain path. Nothing an agent needs in order to call it safely is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters5/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is already 100%, yet the description still adds real semantics: 'users' entries must each be able to read the page, 'members: true' is dynamic membership ('whoever they are on the day'), and 'askAgain: true' overrides the list rather than replacing it. The only weak spot is that the id parameter gets nothing beyond the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource — setting who a wiki page is required reading for, plus the notification side effect. It is clearly distinguishable from get_wiki_page_reading (read the current list) and mark_wiki_page_read (mark one's own read), both of which appear among the siblings.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly tells the agent to read the current list with get_wiki_page_reading first and pass back what should stay, which is the key prerequisite for a full-replacement tool. It also names the alternative mode (askAgain: true) and the switch-off case (empty list).

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
