List drip sequences

list_sequences
Read-onlyIdempotent

List the drip sequences (messages sent to one contact step by step over days), up to 40, each with _id, name, platform, accountId, status (draft, active or paused), its steps with delays and text, enrollmentCount and whether it stops when the contact replies or unsubscribes. Welcome messages are left out (they are in list_welcome_messages). Use the id with activate_sequence, pause_sequence, enroll_in_sequence or unenroll_from_sequence; for one message to many people at once use list_broadcasts.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already establish this as a safe, idempotent read, so the bar is low, and the description adds genuinely useful behavior: a hard cap of 40 results, and a full enumeration of returned fields including status values and enrollmentCount. It does not mention pagination or ordering beyond the 40 cap, which is the only gap.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the verb and resource, then the cap, then the return shape, then the routing. It is dense but every clause carries information; the long parenthetical definition of drip sequences is slightly heavy but justified for disambiguation.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

No output schema exists, and the description compensates by enumerating the returned fields and status values. With one fully documented optional parameter and annotations covering safety, an agent has everything needed to call this correctly.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Only one parameter, workspaceId, and the schema documents it at 100% coverage including the fallback when the connection is workspace-scoped. The description adds nothing about the parameter, which is acceptable given the schema does the work, but it earns no extra credit.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Specific verb (list) plus resource (drip sequences), and it even defines what a drip sequence is (messages sent to one contact step by step over days). It explicitly separates itself from welcome messages and broad broadcasts, so an agent can tell it apart from siblings without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Names the exclusions and the alternatives: welcome messages live in list_welcome_messages, and one-message-to-many belongs to list_broadcasts. It also tells the agent what to do with the returned id (activate_sequence, pause_sequence, enroll_in_sequence, unenroll_from_sequence), which is real routing guidance.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
