Create Publish Website Rules

create_publish_website_rules
Destructive

Create and publish rules on a website: applies them (routes/seliee_websites.py rp_rules_create) and the live site serves them at once (the helper drops the website's caches). Works on a CNAME website, and on a ZONE website with all_cname=True to publish the rules to every CNAME child too. Refused while the website is SUSPENDED (helper/helper_website_state.py). The website is given by website_id or website_uuid. Pass seliee_rule_id (or seliee_rule_uuid) to copy a stored seliee_rule, or an explicit seliee_websites_rules payload.

TDQS

A4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes well beyond the annotations by disclosing side effects (website caches are dropped, live site serves immediately), propagation scope (all CNAME children when `all_cname=True`), and a hard precondition (SUSPENDED websites are refused). What it does not say is whether the new rules replace or append to existing rules on the site — a material gap for a tool flagged destructiveHint=true and idempotentHint=false.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The action and its publish semantics are front-loaded, and each sentence contributes operational detail. The internal code references (routes/seliee_websites.py rp_rules_create, helper/helper_website_state.py) are implementation noise that an agent cannot act on.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With six optional parameters, no output schema, and only coarse annotations, the description supplies the preconditions, propagation behavior, and parameter roles an agent needs to invoke it safely. The remaining gap is the response shape and the replace-vs-append semantics of publishing rules.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 0%, so the description carries the load and does so for most parameters: it explains the website_id/website_uuid alternates, the seliee_rule_id/seliee_rule_uuid copy shortcut, the explicit `seliee_websites_rules` payload option, and the meaning of `all_cname=True`. It does not clarify whether the identifier params are mandatory in practice despite all six being optional in the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource pair (create and publish rules on a website) and immediately clarifies the distinguishing effect: rules are applied and the live site serves them at once because caches are dropped. That separates it in spirit from create_rule/create_website_rules, though neither sibling is named, so an agent must infer which creation path to pick.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives concrete applicability conditions and an exclusion: works on a CNAME website, works on a ZONE website only with `all_cname=True`, and is refused while the website is SUSPENDED. What is missing is routing guidance against the near-identical siblings (create_website_rules, create_rule, create_publish_website_template).

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
