Entries whose Wikidata item was deleted

wikidata_deleted_entries
Read-only

Console → Deleted on Wikidata, 50 a page, with every view’s count: “review” (public entries whose item is confirmed deleted — each shows a notice saying so — and not kept), “deleted_entries” (deleted on VH too), “curated” (protected, verified or claimed: no notice), “kept” (kept, still linked: keep_wikidata_deleted_entry; each row’s kept says by whom, when and why), “never_existed” (the QID was never an item) and “suspected” (not confirmed yet; re-checked daily). Find by name, QID or VHID. Each with Wikidata’s deletion date and comment. And “credit_gone” (the page’s “Wikipedia credit gone”): entries whose “from Wikipedia” credit names a page the credit check (every credit in turn, up to 2,000 a week) found gone or now outside the articles and drafts, newest finding first, each with its credit_title, revision, state (missing or outside_namespace, with page_title where it now leads), missing_since, sync_owned (the sync writes that description, and leaves it while the item has no English article; rewording it takes it from the sync) and links to where its actions are done. That view changes nothing: to fix the text or remove the credit use update_entry_fields (or propose_entry_change), and to credit another page restore_wikipedia_credit with a title.

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true and openWorldHint=false, but the description adds real behavioral context beyond them: "That view changes nothing" and the explicit hand-off to writer tools, the daily re-check of "suspected", and the credit check budget (every credit in turn, up to 2,000 a week). It also discloses that sync-owned credits are written by the sync and that rewording one takes ownership from it.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness2/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

One enormous run-on sentence packed with em-dash parentheticals; the essential purpose is buried behind view-level detail. Much of the credit_gone exposition (sync_owned ownership rules, credit budget) exceeds what an agent needs to select and call the tool. High information density, but poorly front-loaded and hard to parse.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

An output schema exists, so return-value documentation is not required, yet the definition still names key fields (kept, credit_title, revision, state, missing_since, sync_owned). Combined with full view semantics, filtering, and pagination size, an agent has enough to call it correctly; only the absence of sibling contrast keeps it from 5.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is only 33% (only `query` is documented), so the description has to compensate, and it largely does: it enumerates all seven `view` values with their meanings and states "50 a page" for `page`, plus "Find by name, QID or VHID" for `query`. Absolute page-number semantics beyond the default and maximum are still left to the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The definition states a specific resource and scope: entries whose Wikidata item was deleted, paginated 50 per page, with named views. It clearly separates itself from siblings by pointing at keep_wikidata_deleted_entry, update_entry_fields, propose_entry_change, and restore_wikipedia_credit. The listing verb itself is only implied ("Console → Deleted on Wikidata"), so it falls just short of 5.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It names the follow-up tools and the conditions that select them, e.g. fixing text or removing a credit goes to update_entry_fields or propose_entry_change, and re-crediting another page goes to restore_wikipedia_credit with a title. It also explains what each view is for. It does not contrast this tool against near-siblings such as get_entries or search_entries, so it stops at a strong 4.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
